‘Scandals’ to be highlighted on ‘The Writing Show’
I’ll be on The Writing Show to discuss The Solomon Scandals, among other topics. Got any particular angles you’d like me to cover, beyond the fact that Scandals took a mere 30 years to write? E-mail me or tap out a comment to share your ideas. Producer Paula Berinstein and I are still working out a date and time in ’09 (not January).
Broadcast on the Internet, The Writing Show can be heard globally, at your convenience, though any software that can play the popular MP3 format. Paula and her other hosts also do podcasts. Long before Paula Twittered me an invitation, I was a fan. She’s worked as a librarian, written her own books, and is good at seeing literature from the viewpoints of both a writer and reader.
Paula, aka Paula B., also covers nonbook topics ranging from script-writing to ghostwriting. Among the show’s guests have been such luminaries as David Simon, creator of The Wire, whom Bob Andelman interviewed.
But The Writing Show isn’t about celebrity. Rather, in a warm, supportive way, Paula and colleagues focus on the nuts and bolts of writing and the challenges of making a living from it.
