The Solomon Scandals’ first three chapters for free—glass shark tank mention included

Kindle - ScandalsI’ll always remember the glass shark tank that one of Mac’s foes suggested for the Sans Souci restaurant on Seventeenth Street, a VIP-gawker’s Eden. An embittered politician, he wanted the tank’s occupant to be named “Little Mac.” The Sans Souci originally threatened to banish the man to Little Tavern hamburger shops, but McWilliams caught wind of the customer’s malice and was captivated. Mac said he would only lunch at the Sans Souci if it brought in the baby shark.

You’ve got several ways to check out the shark tank mention and other goodies in Scandals’ first three chapters for free—via the Web or your Kindle, iPhone or other gizmo.

1. If you own a Kindle or an iPhone or Touch with Kindle software installed (installation link), just go to the Amazon purchasing page for Scandals. Then look to the right and click to get the chapters sent for free.

Yep, they’ll automatically show up on the list of books and other items within the Kindle or the iPod/iPhone app.

2. If you want to read the free chapters on the Web, just go here and see some things not in the actual book—links to information on the Sans Souci and other places and people. What’s more, in certain cases, you’ll see images.

3. You can also download an ePub-format file of the three chapters, from Feedbooks.

A few more details: Above, you’re seeing Scandals as it looks on the iPod Touch. It is not in the “full-screen” view when you’ll see nothing but text from the book on your screen. One positive is that you can change the size of the type.

To get the old-fashioned paper book—or the electronic version: Yes, we’ve got buying information. The complete e-book version of Scandals sells discounted for less than $5.
